The Mayor’s Office is World 15 of the City of Creativity, a free reading, writing and civic-learning adventure from United By Creativity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Mayor Sharpe invites children to think like community leaders and to share their own idea for a better city.
Weighing first steps for three city questions (playground repairs, more books for children, a safer street crossing) and explaining why; naming a real problem, who it affects, a solution and who could help; writing an original Young Changemaker Proclamation with a clear opinion-writing structure; presenting it aloud, having it read, or sharing it quietly; and reflecting in a City Journal.
Children write in their own words, with optional sentence starters and tap-in ideas for younger writers. The proclamation and certificate can be printed, and every idea is saved to the child’s Idea Notebook for the book they write and publish in the Global Library.
No accounts and nothing sent anywhere. Children’s answers stay in their own browser, and they use a nickname only.
