For parents and educators: The Theater

The Theater is World 12 of the City of Creativity, a free reading, writing and arts adventure from United By Creativity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Milo, the Stage Manager, guides children as they become the Director of their own short play.

What children practice

Choosing two felt puppets in the Puppet Workshop (Princess Samina, who has four costumes, Prince Amir and the Adventurer) and what each one wants; building a setting and mood; naming a problem and its solution; writing a ten-line play in dialogue; hearing it rehearsed and performed aloud, and revising it. A printable playbill, or a .txt or .json file saved to the device, keeps the finished play.

Privacy

No accounts and nothing sent anywhere. Children's answers stay in their own browser, and they use a nickname only.
